You will be warmly welcomed by our representative or chauffeur at the airport with a warm smile and the traditional greeting “AYUBOWAN,” wishing you a long life. Afterward, you will be escorted to the vehicle and served a refreshment before starting the journey towards Kandy via Pinnawala. Along the way, you will visit the Millennium Elephant Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to rescuing and caring for captive Asian elephants in Sri Lanka. Situated on a 15-acre estate called Samaragiri, located 10 km northwest of Kegalle in the Sabaragamuwa Province, this foundation provides a unique opportunity to interact with elephants while learning about the challenges they face. Guests may also join a volunteer program for a hands-on experience in caring for these gentle giants. Located conveniently between Colombo and Kandy, it is the perfect stop for a one-of-a-kind elephant encounter. Next, you will explore a Spice Garden, where entrance is free, and discover Sri Lanka’s world-renowned spices at their source, immersing yourself in the aroma of cinnamon, pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and mace while learning about spice production that has attracted travelers for centuries. In the evening, you will enjoy a relaxing walk around Kandy Lake, surrounded by natural beauty. Located in the heart of Kandy, adjacent to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, this lake was built by the last king of Kandy, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe. DAY 02: KANDY

Breakfast at the hotel and experience Kandy.

Kandy is a renowned city in Sri Lanka, celebrated for its rich historical heritage and natural beauty. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage City, it was the last ancient capital of Sri Lanka and remains one of the country’s most captivating destinations. Visitors can explore the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic, admire traditional artistry at the Kandy arts and crafts centre, stroll through the lively city and bazaar, and enjoy the beauty of the Peradeniya Botanical Garden. Another highlight is experiencing Sri Lanka’s famous tea culture, where sipping a cup of Ceylon tea becomes an immersive journey through lush tea gardens. The fresh mountain air carries the fragrance of newly plucked leaves, while the rolling hills reveal the intricate process of tea-making—from withering and rolling to fermenting. The result is a distinctive golden brew that reflects Sri Lanka’s rich terroir, blending culture, craftsmanship, and natural beauty. In the evening, around 5.00 pm, you will witness a cultural dance performance, showcasing Sri Lanka’s traditional heritage through three classical dance forms. These performances highlight graceful body movements, symbolic gestures, vibrant costumes, and rhythmic drum beats that bring the island’s traditions to life. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

DAY 03: KANDY - GALLE

Breakfast at the hotel and proceed towards Galle

Galle, a prominent city on the south coast of Sri Lanka, is a fascinating blend of Dutch, Portuguese, and British history that continues to enchant travelers. Among its highlights are the historic Galle Fort, the traditional lace makers, the iconic lighthouse, and the Dutch Reformed Church, each offering a glimpse into the city’s rich colonial past. Exploring Galle is like taking a journey through time, where cultural diversity and heritage beautifully meet the charm of a coastal city. After sightseeing, you will check in at the hotel and relax before heading out to enjoy the evening by the beach. One of the most popular nearby spots is Talpe Beach in Unawatuna, famous for its natural rock pools, which are believed to have been carved out of corals around 50 years ago for soaking coconut husks to extract coir. Today, these unique pools have become a popular attraction for both locals and foreigners. The best time to experience them is early morning between March and April, as during other months they often fill with sand. After a refreshing evening by the sea, you will return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 04: GALLE

Breakfast at the hotel and experience Hikkaduwa.

Hikkaduwa Beach, located on the southern coast of Sri Lanka, is one of the finest and most vibrant beaches in the region. Famous for its surfing culture, it attracts enthusiasts from around the world, especially between November and March when the waves are at their best. Beyond surfing, Hikkaduwa also offers opportunities to explore its rich marine life, making it a well-rounded beach destination for travelers. Nearby, the village of Seenigama adds cultural and historical depth to the journey. This coastal village is known for its temple dedicated to Devol Deviyo, the local deity believed to protect fishermen and their boats. Perched on a small island, the temple is also tied to the Ramayana Trail legend, where it is said that Sugriva, the King of the Vanaras, landed with his monkey army before their battle against Ravana’s forces. Another highlight in the area is the Sama Ceitya, a Japanese Peace Pagoda built in 2005 on Rummasala Hill near Unawatuna. Constructed by Japanese monks during Sri Lanka’s civil unrest, it stands as a symbol of global peace and serenity, offering panoramic views and a sense of tranquility visible even from Galle Fort. After exploring, you can spend the evening enjoying leisure time on the beach, followed by dinner and a relaxed overnight stay at the hotel.
